How would you describe your style?
I am an adventure wedding photographer: I love capturing the out-of-the-ordinary facets of your day through candid, emotion-driven photos that have the power to transport you back to that exact moment. I remain behind the scenes and unobtrusive, flowing with the natural rhythm of your day and letting you breathe, while collecting images that will help you relive and retell your own unique story.
What's involved in booking you for our wedding?
Even before talking about booking, let's just talk! Whether we chat on the phone together or meet for coffee or cocktails, I like the opportunity to meet in person for some get-to-know-you time right from the start. It's a comfortable way for us to share our stories: I'll tell you a little more about myself, my philosophy, and how I work and you can tell me about yourself and your wedding plans as well as ask me any questions you may have. I'd love to set up a time to meet! You can get in touch with me through my contact form.
How did you start shooting weddings?
I started as a backcountry sports photographer in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, taking natural photos of people snowboarding, kayaking, mountain biking, and all manner of adventurous things. A neighbor who'd seen my work needed someone to shoot her wedding and I nervously agreed. Little did I know that that one opportunity would open the door to the world of authentic emotion and chaotic beauty of wedding day photography that I'd never experienced behind the lens before. I'm lucky to be able to say that I've found my passion and I love what I do!
How many photos will we receive?
Every collection includes a flash drive of fully edited images, but the total number of files really depends on your wedding. On average I deliver between 300-500 fully polished images.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes! I love to travel and have photographed weddings all across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Wyoming. All weddings within 50 miles of Seattle or Jackson Hole do not incur a travel fee. Please feel free to inquire about booking an out-of-state or out-of-country wedding. If you love what you see on my website, I am happy to work with you to make it happen for you as well. Do you offer off-season or elopement discounts?
I do! One hour of complimentary coverage is added to all weddings with dates from January through April. Please use my contact form to inquire about a quote for your elopement.
Is there anything else I should know about off-season bookings?
All of our Saturday bookings from May through October require a minimum booking of six hours.
How many weddings do you photograph per year?
Booking a maximum of 20 weddings per year works best for me and my family and gives me the time to focus on and really get to know each of the couples I work with. This number also encourages my more personalized approach and affords me the opportunity to give my utmost attention to the work I do for each couple before, during, and after their special day.
